Athletic Trainer Position
Athletic Training and Conditioning, Inc. in Asheboro, NC, is seeking a Nationally Certified and NC Licensed Athletic Trainer as an Independent Contractor to join our staff.
Athletic Training and Conditioning, Inc. is a sports performance and athletic rehabilitation center owned, operated, and staffed by Athletic Trainers. Our services are diverse ranging from injury prevention programming, injury treatment programming, sports performance programming, outreach event coverage programming, and industrial / municipality programming. We utilize manual therapy and a functional exercise-based philosophy. In our cash-based practice, our staff can focus on treating the root cause of the body imbalances rather than just the symptoms utilizing our C-PS treatment approach, rather than being confined to the rules of third-party reimbursement models.

The successful candidate will meet the following essential criteria:
- BOC Athletic Trainer Certification
- North Carolina State License
- Current Champion Performance Specialist (C-PS) or eligible for obtaining certification
- Strong musculoskeletal evaluation skills
- Strong hands on / manual therapy skills
- Strong functional rehabilitation skills
- Strong ergonomic evaluation skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with staff, providers, and clientele
- Willingness to travel among different work sites daily / weekly
- Knowledge of basic computer skills and social media outlets
- Meet the physical demands of an athletic trainer as outlined in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles (Code: 153.224-010)
In addition to the above essential job requirements the successful candidate will also:
- Provide exceptional athletic training care and instruction to a variety of age groups / populations / athletes / clients / patients
- Maintain accurate records of injuries and treatments following documentation protocol
- Follow all HIPAA regulations and guidelines as well as OSHA guidelines
- Ensure clear communication with the client regarding the plan of care and response to questions or concerns
- Maintain compliance with continuing education and licensing requirements
- Take initiative to perform duties without direct daily supervision
- Be able to work in different environmental conditions (heat, cold, etc.)
- Continually check and respond to communications directed to staff
- Contribute to daily preparation and maintenance of supplies, equipment, and facilities
- Complete necessary paperwork as requested from affiliate and Athletic Training and Conditioning, Inc. management
- Exhibit a professional image representing Athletic Training and Conditioning, Inc. at all functions
- Perform additional duties as required by Athletic Training and Conditioning, Inc. management and any other requirements imposed by the applicable affiliate site
Job Title: Staff Athletic Trainer, Independent Contractor
Pay: Hourly rate paid weekly (equivalent to $50k / year salary)
Expected Hours: Up to, but not exceeding, 40hrs per week
